You mean when you up and down arrow in your message list, jaws doesn't say 
unread?
Honestly I can't think of a thing that would cause that.  It used to be if 
your display settings weren't correct for Jaws, or you had graphics set to 
none, it wouldn't say it.
But with later versions of Jaws, that doesn't seem to be the case.

this isn't a uge concern because I mainly use outlook and spend half my time
reading and deleting messages which I don't want to read, but Outlook
Express does not read when I have an unread message. has this happened to
anyone else? I would think it would be reallly annoying if OE is your
primary program.
