Hi,
I have been using gmail as my primary personal e-mail provider for
four years now. I am very satisfied with it. Spam is kept to a
minimum and it's free. I can send you an invite if you want. You can
test it out and find the bugs and kinks and quirks and things that'll
annoy or delight you to your hearts content.
You basically have two modes, standard and basic html. Jaws 9 had
made it so that standard gmail was accessible just before gmail hauled
off and upgraded and, now, it's back to square 1 since they didn't
address it in Jaws 10. So, just go into settings and make it so it
uses basic html as the default setting and you'll be fine. It's
really straightforward. You'll be in your inbox when you log on. Use
x to get to the chekboxes next to each message for fast navigation
through your e-mail. You can archive or delete messages to keep your
inbox clean and you have oodles of space. Folders like sent and
drafts are clearly marked as links. You get more features in standard
mode but, you'll be using the jaws cursor pretty heavily. I've never
used the chat feature so, you're on your own there.
Like I said, I've been using it for four years and don't plan on
stopping any time soon. Let me know if you want that invite since, as
far as I know, it's the quickest and easiest way to get an account.
