Hi Adrian,
I am always on the move to work smarter, not harder. I am going to give text
monkey a try probably this weekend.

Thanks for the info.

Rich, this is a helpful summary of how to use Email Stripper. But in
regard to your comments about Word, Text Monkey also removes unintended line
breaks, as evidenced by the copy of your message below. I can't speak for
Email Stripper because I didn't have your excellent instructions when I
tried to use it.

Hi, Here is how to use email stripper.

  1. install the program. By default there should be an icon on the desktop
for it.

2 open the email you want stripped and copy what portion you wish
stripped.

  3. Move to the desktop and press enter on the email stripper icon.

  4. Press control + v to paste the info or use the paste button found
there.

  5. Press the tab key and you should hear "strip button" and press the
space bar.

  6. Tab to the copy button and close email stripper.

  7. go back to the original email or create a new one and paste the info
back. Edit it and send it on it's way.

Hope these directions are clear and help you in what you wish to do.

  *** additional note ***

For those who have Microsoft word you can accomplish almost the same
thing. by doing the following:

  1. Copy the portion of the email you wish to strip of those pesky greater
than signs.

  2.open Microsoft Word.

  3. Paste the text.

  4. Press control + h to invoke the find and replace dialog box.

  5. On the first line which is "find what" you will enter one single
greater than sign.

  6. Press alt + a or tab to the replace all button.

  7. Word will tell you how many replacements with an ok button. press space
bar, enter, or the esc key to get out of this.

  8. Either edit your text there or copy and paste back into your new email
and send it on it's way.

Please note: Some may have not noticed that the greater than signs will
push text into smaller lines or disrupt the normal flow of text. This is why
editing the text line by line may be necessary.

Hope this info helps all those whom wish to know.

  Rich
