this is out of bounds of jaws but to answer your question, the only thing 
that is actually affected by setting monitor sleep is the monitor at least 
in modern pcs.  I have seen a pc or two a long time ago that killed jaws 
when the monitor switched off but that was long ago and far away.  I'd 
recommend that if you don't use the monitor you turn it off.  I'd recommend 
that if you do use a monitor that you set it to sleep at a maximum of 60 
minutes.  More than that can cause the monitor to over heat if it is not in 
use.

does that put  any drain on resources  in  light of some (perhaps a
minority)  finding sluggish  JAWS after leaving computer unattended. of non
