RE: check boxes in word

It sounds like you have a form, which has become "unprotected".  when a
form is unprotected, then it's just a normal document, and the controls
are not functional.

you'll need to turn on the forms toolbar, and then find the button in
this toolbar named "protect", and press it if it isn't pressed.  that
turns back on forms protection.  this will make all the controls active
again, and jaws will be able to tab between them.
