Yahoo! recently did a big revamp of Yahoo Search. Such refreshes of this sort often take some time to iron out details that don't work.

Note that Yahoo! websites are different in different countries.

At the US search website, http://search.yahoo.com, the list numbers are now hidden in all media types when CSS is applied. JAWS and your browser appear to be honoring that style suggestion. I /think/ this style was one of the changes made in the revamp.

May I ask if you hear the numbers when you search with the UK version, where the list numbers are still visible?

http://uk.search.yahoo.com

May I also ask what version of JAWS, what browser, and what browser version you are using?

Anyone else here on the list use Yahoo as there search engine. When Ive always
done a search Jaws would tell me a number alongside the search item allowing me
to know what item number it is from so many hits for that search, seems that's
changed now. This was one of the reasons I preferred Yahoo over google

Anyway any help here I'd appreciate

Cheers,

Jim
