Re: Worth upgrading to JAWS 12 from 11 question

Dave, I am missing something. You say I can read a web page with alt plus number 3? Is that number 3 on the numbers row or on the numeric pad? I use a laptop but can make the correct translation on that computer. But I do have another laptop with a keyboard attached.

So please, help me understand.
John

Let's not forget that when you read a web site page now with the Alt+Numpad3 key JAWS 12 will allow all those "link" messages to be suppressed. Makes reading a web site a lot faster and less annoying.

There really is nothing new to speak of in jaws 12 apart from the settings center and the virtual ribbons feature. I've used up all my SMA thanks to freedom science fiction and their useless upgrades, so I will be one of those who is probably not going to pay to renew a pair of eyes.

Waste of time, which they could just put in a mini update for jaws 1. Oh well I'm not an fs programmer or whatever, so I'll just shut up.

Well, if you have the SMA, sure. Also, the virtual ribbons are a great feature, however, not a deciding factor.

 Hi all,
Just have a question, is it worth upgrading to v12 of JAWS from v11?
 Many thanks,
 Christian
