If you are using a version of jaws that has that function.  It depends if you 
want it  done temporarily or all of the
time.  To do it temporarily, press insert+v, then r until you land on refresh 
action, and press the space to off, then
press enter.  Now, once you leave that program, it will return back to on or 
whatever it was set at.
