Hi Dana, The area you're looking for is in the Configuration Manager Options menu, under verbosity. Tab once to get to be reminded which verbosity level you've set as the general paradigm, then tab to that level and press Enter on it. Then tab down or arrow down (I just did it, but forgot which I did, already) the list of items to see if item State is checked or not, and any other things on that list that might pertain. I didn't go all the way through the list just now to refresh my memory completely, but that's the idea. After you've gone through this stuff, if you've made changes, don't forget to press OK and then to save the settings with Control S before exiting. Also, you might want to remember to press control shift D before you open the Options menu, so as to be in the Default file that will set these things universally, instead of just in the program you're in when you put up the Configuration Manager interface. That said, have you tried simply unloading Jaws using Insert F4, then relaunching it? That often straightens out glitches like this, which seem to be caused by temporarily befuddled files as much as, or more than, your options settings having changed behind your back, of their own accord. hth ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dana S. So far as I can tell, it is only doing this on the desktop and in OE. I didn't make any changes to my verbosity setting; it just start happening for no reason. I'd like to check my verbosity settings. But I can't remember which option controls this particular behavior. could someone please remind me . Thank you.
