It really depends on where you want to chat. For me, any of the instant message programs work for small group chats, and irc is still the best for larger rooms if you use microsoft agent with it, hands down. I"ve never been able to use any web based chat rooms well with any version of jaws because refreshing the screen is too rapid, and if you disable the automatic refresh setting, you lose parts of the conversation. But that's just my experience, others may have different experiences. If you need help with irc, give me a shout and I'll try to help.
