Hello Beto ,
When you find a keystroke like this and don't know what it does, use the
Jawskey plus the one on the number row "keyboard help" utility. You can
press keys without affecting your program with this mode turned on and
pressing a given keystroke such as alt plus numrow one twice quickly will
give you even more detailed information about the keystroke.
For example, pressing alt plus one twice quickly in Keyboard help yields
that "This keystroke also works in Eudora".
Oh and to turn this mode off just press JawsKey plus numrow one again.

Pressing ALT-1 twice quickly puts you into the "From:" field when in Outlook or Outlook Express, don't know any other uses, it is a Jaws function.
I guess the help files in Skype to be the most authoritative source for information on how to use Skype.
Hope this helps.

I have two questions for the list:
What does pressing the alt key and the 1 twice in rapid succession do? Secondly, where can I find a users guide to know how to manipulate Skype? Please send answers directly to me at betoescobar3@xxxxxxxxxxx
