Two questions about Nero

Hello,
I have two questions about Nero.
If I understand correctly, to convert Wave files into MP3, you need MP3
Pro, which is a plug-in. Is this true? Can you convert files into MP3
without using a plug-in? Since Im just using a demo version right now,
this trial plug-in has expired. Does itome with the store bought version
of Nero or do you have to buy it on their Website?
How do you make a music CD using, say, a song from one CD, two from
another, etc., into one compilation CD?
