Re: Two Spaces Punctuation Repeated

You can hit control H, in the first field type two spaces, in the second field type one space and tab until you hear replace all and hit enter. This is only for word documents. If it is a word document you can select the entire document and hit control L so that the entire document is left justified. hth, Judith ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom S" <tsykora@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Pat,
I am not sure what justified the text means, but I am pretty sure the author did hit his space bar twice between certain words as I just did now. I called FS and they did not have any ideas. One techie said I should run repair, and another offered some maybe help, but the solutions they were offering went against my own computer related Hippocratic oath of first do no harm lol Maybe I will just have to live with jaws saying two spaces every time any text file has two spaces instead of one.
Thanks,
Tom

Are you sure the two spaces are not because an author has justified the text?

Hi Judith,
JAWS is reading the screen correctly and while I do value the two
spaces announcement between sentences and after the period of a
sentence, occasionally I read a document where the author uses two
spaces between words frequently and it drives me nuts. I am
wondering if the two spaces can be toggled or turned off.
Thanks,
Tom
