Ann,
This is correct, but I think the method works either best or only in Windows
Explorer on an XP machine. So:
1. Press Windows key+e to open Windows Explorer.
2. Press alt-v for the view menu.
3. Arrow up about three times to "Show details..." and press enter.

Under the view menu, change from details to list. That should do it.
