Forgot to mention spelling on the fly in Microsoft Word or WordPerfect. To
spell a word as you type, just press Control + Left Arrow to jump back to the
word if it is misspelled, and hit your context menu key to have Word or WP open
a menu with suggestions. Arrow down to select a word from the list and hit
Enter. The context menu key or application key is the one next to the right
Control key. It's a very useful key for situations where there's no visible
menu provided. You can use it in help files to copy, print, select all, etc, as
long as you turn off your Virtual PC Cursor.

Word 2000 has its own spellchecker. If yours doesn't work, do the following:
First, go to Tools menu in Word, select Options. Select Spelling & Grammar
tab. Tab down and make sure Check Spelling as you type is checked. Enter to
confirm.
Second, use Insert + V to open Adjust Jaws Verbosity dialog box. Arrow down
to Check spelling & grammar. If it's off, tab to Execute button and hit Enter.
This will turn it on. Now hit Escape to close. Type some misspelled words and
see if Jaws says misspelled word.
I would leave tinySpell for Notepad or WordPad.

    > Yes, tinySpell works fine with Jaws. it's a good spellchecker for people
who are using Notepad, WordPad, etc. In fact, you just spellcheck on the fly
    everywhere.

that does not include a spelling checker and you don't want to launch your
word processor just for that. This is when tinySpell becomes handy. It is a
small utility that allows you to easily and quickly check the spelling of
words in any Windows application. tinySpell monitors your typing on the fly
and alerts you whenever it detects a misspelled word. It also checks the
spelling of every word you copy to the clipboard. tinySpell installs itself
in the system tray for easy access. It comes with an American-English
dictionary containing more than 110,000 words
