Task tray question

Hey guys,
Forgive me for this, but I lost the post about how to deal with system
tray icons.
It acts very strangely when I go to a system tray icon and do a fight
click on it.
It says properties and all of that, but doesn't allow me to exit the
application.
Anyone know of the fix?
