I do not have GPS, more do I have more than six or seven items on the sys
trey. No doubt it is something unique to my computer, a DELL laptop with a
ATI 9200 Mobility Vid Card, but I suspect others may also have unique
systems which result in JAWS behaving differently in various circumstances.

Subject: RE: System Tray Icons

I stand corrected how ever I have never seen it not work.
I can not reproduce any problem with the system tray when the steps I have
outlined below are followed.
One problem with the system tray is and this is not a jaws bug but a windows
bug if you have a program witch has gpf the icon for that program is not
cleared from the system tray.
Also if you have lots of things on the system tray like 15 or so then there
may not be a locate How ever in the original posters case he clearly states
that he has the button that he has to press to expand his icons witch means
he did not follow these steps.
For he tells you in the message that he has to press the system tray button
and it opens a menu. This would not happen if he had the system tray setup
as I outline.
