I was still having problems this morning getting Verizon's system
to accept my new password and tried Adam's suggestion of turning off
the virtual cursor and was finally able to get a new password accepted
and to view my bill.

Part of my problem may have been that there is a re-set link right
after the edit box to confirm the new password and I'd been hitting it
since it was the next item that came along. I decided to tab further
along and found a submit link that seems to be the right one to hit
after you confirm the new password.

I had successfully viewed my bill before yesterday and part of my
recent problems may have been due to transmission failures between my
brain and fingers.

    Gratefully,
Margaret

Hi Margaret,
Before contacting Verizon, I will turn off my Virtual PC Cursor using
Insert Z, and try again. When Jaws VPC is on, the keys you pressed are
heard but they are partially swallowed and your User ID and Password
will be simply rejected because they will be wrong no matter what.
Really strange because normally, Screen Readers are supposed to
monitor User's keystrokes! Anyway, turn off your Virtual PC Cursor
using Insert Z, tab as much as needed to enter your User ID and
Password, and tab again to the submit button and hit Enter. If nothing
works at all, contact Verizon to make sure your online bill has been
activated. I normally deactivate my VPC in the Config Manager, and
turn it on when needed.
Good luck,
Adam

  Subject: Viewing Bill on Verizon.com

  Hi All,

I registered to be able to view my Verizon bill online several
days ago and received my e-mail notification that my bill was
available for viewing. I attempted to log in early this morning and
again a few minutes ago and my User ID and Password are not being
accepted and I have repeatedly hit the link for "forgot your
password"
and am placed in a loop where I am asked to put in my User ID,
answer
a Secret Question, phone number and type in a new password. Could
someone who has registered to view their Verizon bill online go to:

  http://www.verizon.com/billview

and see if they are able to log in?

There was a notice that some ISP's may not allow you to view
your
bill if you use a fire wall, which I do, but I wanted to ask here
before I contact Cox since I'm in a totally foul mood and am not in
a
good frame of mind to try to deal with customer service.

I attempted to fill out an online inquiry form at Verizon.com,
but
the system kept erasing my entries and at one point I had to hit
"yes"
five times before I could get a new screen at the "you are about to
leave a secure connection" prompt. The site was acting strange in
other ways, so that's why I'm hoping there's something wrong with it
  today.

      Thanks,
  Margaret
