Perhaps the culprit is JFW 8. Like I said, I had no problem installing
Spybot, but I'm using JFW 7.0. This is just one more reason I'll avoid
installing the buggy JFW 8. Let's hope FS gets its act together in the
upcoming JFW version 9.

Ray and others,
You should be able to install Spybot while using JAWS. There is an option
at the beginning of the installation process that says something about
installing
with a screen-reader. I selected this option and had no problem installing
Spybot while using JFW 7.0.
