That's strange, because on my office machine that combination does absolutely nothing. Wish it worked, I can use all the shortcut keys I can get. Never tried it at home; in fact, I didn't know it existed. Ted From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of G.W. I knew it existed, but can never remember it so I keep an old message on the subject. I did know it is not a Jaws stroke. And I have had certain Jaws installations toggle on the showing of those Word markers. Queer, ain't it? ----- Original Message ----- From: Dave Carlson <mailto:dgcarlson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, May 20, 2010 10:47 PM Subject: Re: Space markers and others marks in Word documents GW, Okay, so I tried that keystroke, and it resolves the problem. However it is not being reported as a JAWS keystroke. It's a MS-Word keystroke, I guess. Just to make sure, I went to tools/options/display (Word 2007) and I see that all these are unchecked, just like I always have them. Something has changed with JAWS 11.0.1447, since the words "Space marker" started up right after the install. Also interesting that the space character changes from ASCII 32 to ASCII 183 when the keystroke toggles. Just what is this keystroke doing, anyways? Appreciate the keystroke tip. The long way to do it is to go to tools, options and on the view page tab like crazy until you get to "all" and uncheck it and tab to OK. ----- Original Message ----- From: Cal <mailto:yesitscal@xxxxxxxxx> To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, May 20, 2010 6:13 PM Subject: Space markers and others marks in Word documents Hi! Just opened up a new Word document and I seem to be getting stuff like space markers and paragraph marks read whereas this didn't happen before, so if anyone can tell me how to silence those things I'd really, really appreciate it. Thank you.
