Yes, when a sighted person selects text, the selection is highlighted by shading which might be in the form of a light screen. This is why selecting and highlighting are usually synonymous in computerese. Some applications, particularly in the old days, highlighted by reversing the text in a black field.

when am selecting  certain text in order to coppy it to clipboard,
does sighted person   being able to look at that one?
does he can look before  coppying  the selected text or after, or not
these or those.
