Running JFW on a lap top with two sound cards

My hero bought me a USB sound card for my lap top, the thought being to run the speakers through the card and JAWS through the onboard sound. I have not installed the card. How do I explain to it that I want media to go through it and JAWS not to? I think I remember that in Winamp yu could direct output somewhere other than the onboard sound, but I'm using Windows Media Payer--and the regular Windows sounds, as well.

Anybody comfortable with this scenario and could tell me how???

Much thanks,

Ann

Hi Rich,
I'm interested to know what shortcut you use to bring up JAWS in older version.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS short cut

Hi all.
I have XP home and 10.00.
I have a shortcut to turn JAWS on.
I just noticed that when I use the shortcut key that my older version of JAWS 9.0 comes up. Also, my system tray had the 9.0 version in it. So I unchecked that particular option.

My desk top has both versions showing.
I deleted the 9.0 desk top, but the shortcut key did not work. So, I brought the 9.0 version back to the desk top.

Is there a way of merging the 10.0 so the shortcut key brings the newer version?

Thanks so much.

Rich
