Jack,
It took me some time to realize that when folks said that they had
"unloaded JAWS and then reloaded it" that they did not mean they had
uninstalled and reinstalled it.
In mainframe parlance "unload" usually indicates that you have removed
something from the system. When you "reload" a program or file you
usually take it from an external source and overlay whatever was on the
system.
"shut off" or "terminate" would seem to make it a little clearer.

Hi All,

Well, after talking with a friend of mine, I've come to the realization
= that maybe it's time for FS to update yet another one of the Jaws =
statements. I have a friend who is a fairly good Jaws user. She just
learned that = insert F4 means that Jaws will be turned off, not
uninstalled. At first I thought that this sounded strange, until I
really listened. = Jaws says, Unloading Jaws... Now maybe it's time to
change that to = Shutting off Jaws. She thought that it would unload
the program. Now keep in mind that as ridiculous as this may sound to a
seasoned Jaws = user, to someone else, it could lead them to think that
they are, = unloading, or uninstalling the program. Anyone know of any
other Jaws statements that are a little misleading =
and should be updated? Jack
