RE: Real Speak Voices

The CD I got was separate. I don't use them much. They sound great at
first blush, and my hearing is acute, but I can't go as fast with them
as I can with Eloquence, and am far more prone to queries of "what did
he/she say again?" However, I'm still using the same ones I installed
with 10, so I wouldn't worry about the CD being current.

Ted:
Do people really use these for daily use (thought the weren't all that
responsive) or just for reading long passages, like books and articles?
I think I'll download from the FS Website the latest rather than install
from an old CD, particularly since my CD appears to have an old version.

The voices that came with 8 were SAPI 5. RealSpeak came along with 10.
The disc is separate, and should be easy to install. As to whether or
not you'll like them, that's purely subjective.

One of the very few advantages that realspeak has over Eloquence is the
capability of turning up and down the Jaws volume separately from the
whole
system volume.
