Well, do you know how to use usenet news groups with a news reader like outlook express? There are many microsoft-operated news groups for all the different flavors of VB, but I don't know of any mailing lists specifically for it. Do you know if you want VBA, VB6, or VB.NET? If you don't know, and you just want to learn to program, I think you'd be served best by going after the latest and most advanced version, VB.NET.
