all you need is alt+v for view, layout and uncheck the preview pane.

Subject: Question: outlook express suddenly sluggish

Okay, I am not sure if I am seeing the right thing when trying to stop the
preview pane from showing. In fact, I think that it is not the correct item.
While in the list of messages, or in box, I did alt+t for tools, O for
options, and ctrl+tab to the read page. When I tabbed through that, the only
thing that I could find which referred to the preview pane was:

automatically download message when viewing in the preview pane.

I unchecked this, hit apply and then okay. But it hasn't changed my preview
pane. Was I in the wrong place?

Thanks much,

TerriLynne
