There's a right mouse menu selection called DVD Options, which is rather
powerful. Make sure you have the correct drive specified, if your
machine has more than one. The only serious fault I had with it was I
often had to run my AF gain wide open to get a decent level. Also, and
I admit this is nit picking, you can set WinDVD to remember where you
left off in a movie or TV show. I mean you can take the disk out, put
it away, come back to it 2 weeks later, and it picks right up. This
spoiled me, and Real Player can't do it, but neither can most hardware
players.

Following up on Gary's suggestion, what about the right mouse button? I
know that the two should function identically, but it's worth a try.

A good fall back is Real Player. Media Player is next to worthless for
DVD's, but, until you can resolve your issues with Power DVD, Real
Player isn't shabby.
