you do not need a new card, JAWS will suport the dectalk on com1 though com 8.
If you are definantely needing com1 or com 2 you can chage the com port number
on the card this can be accomplished the same way it always has since windows
95.

I've been trying to get my DecTalk to work for the last several months and
have had no success. The ports available to me don't seem to come up as comm1
or comm2, but rather comm5 and comm6. Is there a PCI card available that would
correct this problem? I wish I could tell you what kind I'm using now, but I
don't have a clue.
