Another way to get attachments is, while in the inbox--not the message--open the arrow down to attachments with the applications key and choose 'open' from the sub-menu.

Ray, This is exactly one of the problems I encountered using JAWS 9, Outlook 2003 and Winders XP Home. Same thing happened after I migrated to JAWS 10. When this happens just unplug the blamed computer so it will no be able to save any settings and re-start. It actually seems to happen after a Microbloat update. There was a long period of time when I could not get any attachments but, amazingly, it fixed itself. It was the conclusion that it really was a Windows problem.
