You should know, if you're using Outlook in a corporate environment, this shortcut given below will not allow you to add entries to an "address book"; that's because it opens the corporate address book (assuming you've been configured for an exchange server, the usual case in a corporate environment). If that's the case, you'll need to go into the outlook contacts folder, or use the file | new submenu, to add a contact to your contacts list that's personal to you alone and not the organization.
