I'd love to reciprocate the assistance you gave yesterday, but all I can do
is mention a couple of factors.
First, I am having no difficulty at all opening and reading OE messages with
JAWS 8, and I've been doing email with it all day long. The only time I
encounter a problem is when I want to clean a message I'm forwarding.
Several times, though not always, JAWS ceases to speak when I open the
system tray, where I keep my email cleaning program, with the OE message
still open. The first few times, I couldn't restart JAWS and decided I had
to reboot. The solution has turned out to be to press alt-F4. I have no
idea what that closes, but then speech returns and both the message and the
system tray are open.
Second, I eliminated most sluggishness in JAWS 8 by doing a disc clean,
which I'm sure you know is under systems tools within accessories under
programs.
This is all very oblique, I realize. It might or might not have anything to
do with the problems you're experiencing.
