Hi Yardbird, why not give Super Antispyware a try. Fully accessible out of the box. Go to www.superantispyware.com and download the free edition, which should be enough if all you want to do is manually scan for spyware and check for updates. The Professional (shareware) edition provides real-time protection, automatic updates, scheduled scanning, and more. Hope that helps.

yep. I was kind of coming to that conclusion. I thought I'd heard someone
saying that this 2008 version had just replaced the 2007 version that seems
to have come out only in December or so and was not accessible. Somehow I
got the impression that 2008 had remedied the accessibility problem. guess
not.

Any interesting jaws friendly options you know of? I'm already running
Spyware Blaster and Windows Defender, but AdAware still was catching some
items when I updated it manually and ran the scan, this morning (before
uninstalling it and installing the new one). I can always reinstall V. 1.06
from the install file I have, and update it, but those updates have got to
stop being provided one of these days, I'm afraid.

Thanks. Going to turn in, now. Thanks again.

That program is not accessible and there are no scripts for it at this time.

May as well say I also installed AdAware 2008 and I can't "see" a thing in
the interface with the tab key or arrow keys, not a thing. If I switch to
the Jaws cursor, it reads as many lines as fit in whatever space it's
restricted to at that point, but it's just words. I can't find any controls to use or anything like that. totally useless. Is anyone successfully using
AdAware 2008 with Jaws 9?
MpoNot a very good day on the Jaws front, I have to say.
