I'm glad to hear that you got that part working. As Bruce said, after you mark all critical objects you can move to the negligible objects tab by pressing the RightArrow key, then press control+m again to mark all negligible objects.
The negligible objects are not spyware, rather they are lists on your computer of the names of the documents and files that you have been using recently. If you share your computer with other people and you don't want them to see what documents and files you have been using recently, you can erase these lists by deleting the negligible objects. So it's basically a privacy issue, and I don't normally delete them myself.

Dean,
Yesterday I used AdAware as your scripts permit me to do, and have one
question.

Upon completion of the scan, I pressed control N and was able to tab to the
scan summary tab, right arrow to critical objects, press control M for mark
all, and OK to finish. But then I thought, well, what if I *wanted* to also
access the negligible objects and remove them, too? It seemed I might have
to perform the scan all over again, then try right arrowing one more time to
see if it brought me to something about negligible objects, then press
control m to mark all, again.

am I misunderstanding? Before your fix, when I was making do with just
getting to the list of all found objects and using the context menu to
select all and remove all, I suppose I was removing both critical and
negligible objects, and so far as I know, with no ill result to my computer.

Can you explain how to manage all this properly using the scripts? is the
script intended to only give the user control over the critical objects
list, an that's all you feel is necessary?

Thanks for explaining.

A couple of people recently said that they were still unable to access the
Critical objects tab with the PC cursor with the AdAware scripts. I have
made some modifications that hopefully will get it to work for you. Anyone
who has this problem can download the updated 281k file packaged with the
installer. Let me know whether or not you get it to work, or if you hear any
error messages. The direct download link is:
