Maryse, you said you managed to burn MP3 files to a CD, but then you tried to burn a music CD. Did you mean to say you tried to rip a music CD, to extract the tracks from the CD to your hard drive? Which is f9 or the menu, extras, save tracks. If so, I believe you got a message saying that sorry the internet database didn't contain information about the CD. So then Nero gave you the chance to title the tracks. But you can just cancel out of that. But then unfortunately the track llist (alt T) just says things like 4 and some times, then audio since it couldn't identify the CD. You can tab to the output format combo box and pick MP3. Then press alt G or tab to the go button and it will rip the tracks. But again unfortunately they will be in your documents with names like Track No01.MP3 if it couldn't find the cd on the internet database. Now by create MP3 files, do you mean convert a file to MP3? Or did you mean the output format when ripping a cd that I mentioned above? If you meant converting, press f8. Enter on the add button, find your file you want ot convert. tab to output format, pick MP3. Press alt G for the go button. Things are by default put it your documents. If so, do you find it accessible? I've downloaded a French version demo (because my Windows is in French. I've managed to burn MP3 files onto a CD to test it out, and it worked fine. I've then tried to burn a music CD, but, it asked me if I wanted to enter each track into a database. Then, I really couldn't see the list of tracks on the original CD and the list of tracks added to the project. Does anyone have "tips" for me? Also, a friend uses Nero 5 and says that he can create MP3 files with this version. Can this be done with Version 7? If so, how? Thanks in advance for all your help!
