Rick, I did try and proved to myself it was completely inaccessible. What I did next was to take a sample visio document someone else had created, and wrote a vba macro which ran through all the shapes on the page, and read me the basic information about each. This was only to prove to me that if I was going to be able to use it, I'd have to do so via it's programming interface in some way. You could either write a set of specialized vba macros to do all the things you needed, or with the newer window eyes, you could do it using it's new scripting language. I don't think Visio will ever be accessible through the more standard methods of interfacing a screen reader to an application. hth, Chip ------------------------------ Chip Orange Database Administrator Florida Public Service Commission Chip.Orange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (850) 413-6314 (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public Service Commission.) ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rikk Sent: Sunday, September 07, 2008 5:13 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: MS Visio with JFW Hi group.
