Is your client using an external USB keyboard? If so, this is an problem
that FS does not seem to be able to get a handle on. I've had the problem
with versions 5.0 - 6.2, which I currently use. I get the same results on
multiple computers using different USB keyboards. I just live with it now.
I try to do the bulk of my work with a computer which has a PS/2 keyboard.
Of course, that isn't an option with newer laptops.
Very frustrating.

Subject: Keystrokes not working in on Laptop Using JFW
Hello All:
I received a telephoen call from a client that has a problem where certain keystrokes are not working when she's on her laptop. For example, when she holds down the insert key and presses the F12 key, the computer just says "f12," and does not tell what time it is. Also, she said on occasion that she can't even do a ctrl-home.
I don't think this is a JAWS problem, but a windows problem. Nevertheless, I suggested she check her keyboard layout under JAWS basics menu to make sure it's still set to laptop. Also, she has done a repair on JAWs and this did not fix the problem, so I suggested she uninstall and re-install JAWS and see if this fixes the problem.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for all the great help I get from this list.
