Hello Daniel.

There is no difference.  They both do exactly the same thing.  But who wants
to remember another keystroke since control plus O is the normal keystroke
to open something.

I never even heard of Control L until you mentioned it.  I just launched IE 
and tried it.  It seems to work exactly the same as Control O.  I can't be 
sure there's no difference, though.  Now I'll be interested to hear a more 
informed comment.
