Hi Bob. I have had the same problem with Control being spoken with the press of any key as well. When it would occur the only way I could resolve it was to restart Jaws. Then it was fine again. What causes Control to be spoken that way to begin with I honestly couldn't tell you. It didn't happen often enough for me to seek out a permanent solution. Actually, with the update to Jaws version 5 and then 6 I don't think I've experienced the problem since. Ha, I say that and now watch it start doing it again. Chris Feist - The one and only! -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bobcat I've run into a problem right out of the shoot with JFW. It seems JFW doesn't like my cordless keyboard. I'm getting some strange behaviour. The main difficulty is that I can not use my special menu keys or multimedia keys while JFW is running. Another problem is that sometimes JAWS wants to say control before every key pressed. Pressing the left control key stops this for a while. It also seemed for a while that JFW was confused about the state of capitalization. It seems to be working now but it was a problem while trying to authorize the software. I have JFW 6.0 running on Win98se, 16bit color 1024 by 768 pixels, and mainly default configuration. My keyboard is a Logitech Itouch cordless keyboard running an early version of the Itouch keyboard manager. I hope I don't have to update the Itouch software as I don't like newer versions as much.
