I never used that particular keyboard but when I had windows 98, I did more often then not have to stay away from the software to control the multi media keys and stuff on the keyboards or it would do exactly as you describe. Now with Xp I use it with no problem though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bobcat" <bobcat11@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "jfw mailing list" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, March 30, 2005 2:36 AM Subject: Keyboard Problem I've run into a problem right out of the shoot with JFW. It seems JFW doesn't like my cordless keyboard. I'm getting some strange behaviour. The main difficulty is that I can not use my special menu keys or multimedia keys while JFW is running. Another problem is that sometimes JAWS wants to say control before every key pressed. Pressing the left control key stops this for a while. It also seemed for a while that JFW was confused about the state of capitalization. It seems to be working now but it was a problem while trying to authorize the software. I have JFW 6.0 running on Win98se, 16bit color 1024 by 768 pixels, and mainly default configuration. My keyboard is a Logitech Itouch cordless keyboard running an early version of the Itouch keyboard manager. I hope I don't have to update the Itouch software as I don't like newer versions as much.
