I tried left arrowing on the inbox and it still said open, but after I sent
the original message asking about it I closed OE completely and opened it
back up and everything is okay now.

Hi,

Don't know for sure but your new folder could still be under the inbox. Try
deleting it again.
Go to your folders list and arrow down to the inbox and left arrow on it.
jfw should say that inbox is closed.
In fact you should go up to local folders and start from there and arrow
down to each folder that says open and left arrow to close all folders.
That way you will know that when you create your new folder it will be in
the main list.
