Jaws not reading menus, etc

For some reason Jaws has decided to not read selected items such as menus,
lists and whatever I tab to. I can use insert plus up arrow to hear the
current line but moving to the next line brings silence until I do the say
current line again.
Also when I start a program jaws doesn't speak the name of the program until
I press insert T.This is annoying to say the least. Everything was fine when
I shut down last night. I have tried restarting and finally ran Jaws repair
to no avail.
Jaws 5.1, Windows XP Home.
