If you read the message I replied to, it was something about how to shut the
computer down/restart it to get the start menu back because it wouldn't work
and I was mentioning how if you can't get to the start menu, a way to shut
it down, a way I use daily. Older machines don't shut down when you hit the
power button, but I have 2 or 3 that do, and my ham radio computer which is
an older win 98SE machine is the only one that doesn't and that just shuts
off completely but that's a 5 or 6 year old laptop I had kicking around
here.
