Jaws and adobe reader

Hello,
Can you tell me if version 5 of JAWS supports adobe reader? If so is there any
special setup requirements to make it work well?
I am trying to help a lady with her Jaws version 5 on a XP home edition system
and have little knowledge of JAWS.
