Brian, Not surprising. I've noticed that certain applications cause JAWS to change its overall behavior in other applications. Likely due to those applications changing some display attributes, or mucking around with the video chain and/or the object model stored in virtual memory. I've just learned to live with it, kill JAWS and restart. After that, the key strokes are silent until I reboot my machine. However, my JAWS trainer said that with the version of JAWS, Vista and Office, it is probably a problem that you will have to train yourself to get used to. I know that is not much help, but it is the best that I can do for you. Maybe there is someone else with a different, if not helpful, answer. Suddenly, jaws will refuse to speak when I copy, cut or paste something. Does anyone know how to force him into speaking and not merely being silent on these things without having to keep restarting?
