Have you checked user verbosity.  Jawskey v.  Set it to beginner and see if the 
prompts come back.

  This happens to me also. I never really thought about it but sometimes it 
speaks the commands and sometimes it doesn't. Who knows.

  This happens sometimes. Suddenly, jaws will refuse to speak when I copy, cut 
or paste something. Does anyone know how to force him into speaking and not 
merely being silent on these things without having to keep restarting?
