do you have Jaws 9 professional? You need Jaws 9 professional to work with XP.

Hello everyone. I have a computer that is running Windows XP home, and it
also has office XP home addition and Jaws 9.0. My issue is this. Jaws won't read my word files. It will read Excel files and e-mail messages just fine. 
I thought it was a problem with Word itself until I tried reading a word
document with Jaws 8.0. The file read just fine. I even uninstalled and
reinstalled Jaws 9.0 but it didn't help. Does anyone know what is causing
Jaws 9.0 not to read my word files?
