I find I have no need to insert such a line. I used to use Firefox, then it
kept crashing until somebody suggested on this list that I install and run
JAVA Access Bridge. For the most part, (by which I mean 99.9%), Firefox has
not crashed on me once. I'm using JAWS 10.0.1154, which is the latest
updated version. I note that now, with the latest version of Firefox,
(version 3.5.2), and the latest version of JAWS, all security alerts are
spoken automatically just as they were back when I used to use IE.

So, again, back to my question, (which I believe James asked earlier). Just
what does doing the below:
"The only thing to do for Firefox is to open: start, programs, jaws xx
(where jaws xx indicates the jaws version: 8, 9, or 10), explore jaws,
explore shared settings. then search for the config names.ini file.
Open it and insert this line:
firefoxx.x.x=firefox
where x.x.x is the firefox version. currently the 3.5.2.

the line must be inserted above the following:
;ie7" accomplish?
Thanks.

Sincerely,
The Constantly BAREFOOTED Ray

Dear friends,
it is long time I've been using Mozilla Firefox and I costantly let it
update noticing its increasing of performance, safety and reliabilityof
surfing among web pages. Especially with Webvisum add-on.
Many friends of me tried Internet 8 but immediately went back
to 7.
The only thing to do for Firefox is to open: start, programs, jaws xx (where
jaws xx indicates the jaws version: 8, 9, or 10), explore jaws, explore
shared settings. then search for the config names.ini file.
Open it and insert this line:
firefoxx.x.x=firefox
where x.x.x is the firefox version. currently the 3.5.2.

the line must be inserted above the following:
;ie7

Best regards

Stefano
