Hi Mickey and others:
Here are a couple of recommendations:
1. Are you trying to change spacing for the whole document? If not, you
should try selecting the text you want to format. You can do this by
hitting shift+down arrow to select individual lines or CTRL+shift+end to
select from the cursor to the end of the document. You could try changing
your spacing again after selecting the text you want to format.
2. You could try changing the spacing in just one keystroke. You could try
pressing CTRL+2 for double-spacing and CTRL+1 for single spacing. I hope
this helps.

Eric

Subject: JFW5 and MS Word?

Greetings Fellow Listers:

I'm running Jaws 5 with Microsoft Word from Office 2002; In a machine I
built.

Problem is this:

When I prepare a document in Word and want to change the line spacing, I
can not get the change or desired selection to be accepted.

I go in to the menu of paragraphs, then tab down to line spacing, then down
to say 1.5 lines or double, touch space bar on my choice and tab over to OK
and hit enter; But it always prints as a single line document.

I'm not much of a word processing expert, so any help should be in baby
steps for a first grader; Please!

Regards of,
MICKEY
