JFW and the Intel Centrino processor

Hi all,
My laptop is hosed (mother board and hard disk gone). I want something
light and am considering the following machine
Acer tm290 described at
http://www.acer.co.in/products/notebooks/tm290.html
It uses an Intel Centrino processor. A friend told me that this processor
does not deliver as much power as other processors like the p4. Is this
true? If yes, then will this pose any problems with JFW?
