Hi All:
I've used zamzar several times to convert PDF documents with earlier
than 9 versions of JFW. I don't remember the steps in proper order, but
you tell zamzar what type of a document you have, what you want to
convert it to and give your e-mail address. You have one of these edit
boxes that when you press enter on it it asks for a file to upload which
needs to be a PDF.
I should tell you, my experience has been that it works very good with
PDF files which have either been produced by another program like
Microsoft Word, or, those which have been scanned and had OCR done on
them. It does not work for what I call image PDFs. That is, documents
which have been scanned in as image files and saved in PDF. The only
things which work for those are Kurzweil 1000, Open Book or PDF Magic
from Premiere Assistive Technologies, www.readingmadeez.com.
